History of Video Games pop-up event in Carnaby Street, London

There’s a retro arcade experience at The Subculture Archives in Carnaby Street, London for a limited time only.

They’ve got classic arcade machines from the 80s and 90s such as Outrun, Track and Field, Afterburner and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (!!!).

You can also play a range of consoles including NES, Sega Megadrive and PlayStation, with classic games such as Streets of Rage, Sonic and Mario Kart.  

The pop-up arcade is part of a special Youth Archive exhibition on video game culture, including photographs, film and memorabilia to document its place in youth culture.

Tickets cost £15 for 3 hours of unlimited play or £10 for a 1-hour walk-in (subject to availability). The machines are free to play once inside the event.
